High-Performance Monitoring

The Smartsigns Compact 500 is a versatile and fully-featured vital signs monitor. It is capable of monitoring ECG, Oxygen Saturation, Non-invasive Blood Pressure, and Body Temperature (Tympanic measurement). This device is designed for use by trained healthcare professionals and can be used in a variety of low and mid-acuity healthcare settings.

Flexible and User-Friendly Design

The SC500's detail to design ensures the system delivers accurate, reliable, and repeatable measurements when and where they are required. The device offers a clear 8” digital display with large, easy-to-read information. It also features touchscreen controls for easy operation. Functions are carried out using a ‘point and press’ operation, offering users the choice of selecting a large numerical display or switching to a more traditional two waveform layout to display patient status.

Enhanced Departmental Workflow

The SC500 provides caregivers with a flexible platform, offering a standard set of monitoring capabilities - BP, Pulse Rate, and Oxygen Saturation. In areas where additional vital signs need to be monitored, users can select from options to include ECG (I, II III lead), Nellcor Oximax™ SpO2, Temperature (Tympanic thermometer), and an Integrated two-channel printer.

Safety and Contraindications

The device is not intended for use outside a Healthcare facility. No absolute contraindications exist for ECG monitoring, however, clinicians should be aware of situations developing as a result of certain allergies caused by sensitivity to adhesives used to fix electrodes onto the skin. Pulse oximetry is contra-indicated for use on active patients or for prolonged use. To prevent tissue damage, sensor position should be checked every 2 hours (as indicated by circulatory status and or skin integrity) and repositioned every 4 hours.
